Now for the first time in Illinois a Club 50 Fitness Center for active adults is open.  But what is a Club 50 Fitness Center and what makes it any different from any other fitness club and why would it be right for you?  That's a fair question.  We designed Club 50 specifically for men and women ages 50 and older... But what else makes us different?
We do not have a swimming pool, suana, gym, track, aerobics, or yoga.  We do not have endless amounts of exercise equipment arranged in a huge, impersonal atmosphere.  There is no clanging weights or spandex.  Waiting for equipment, lack of guidance, unsanitary conditions, and hidden or extra fees are not at Club 50.  What we have is the latest in hydraulic equipment, a carefully planned whole body workout, no waiting, a smaller and more personable atmosphere with one-on one guidance where we will get to know you on a first name basis, older and more mature patrons, nutritional programs and counseling including our own unique brand of supplements, unlimited visits, clean and sanitary conditions, and above all, reasonable and affordable fees.
At Club 50 we offer a low-impact, easy-to-follow 30 minute workout set to music alternating between cardio and strength training targeting the desired heart rate.  Our equipment accomodates ANY level of fitness.  The workout is designed to be easy on the joints at the same time it strengthens them.  "No pain, no gain", is not the axiom we preach.  Our workout minimizes pain while you get stronger.  Regular exercise and good nutrition can help you lose weight, improve bone density, gain strength, feel more energized, lower high cholesterol, lower blood pressure, increase flexibility, and a host of other good things.  Exercise is important for people of all ages but it is crucial for people over 50.  The old adage, "If you don't use it, you lose it" is oh so true for older adults.  Club 50 Fitness is a good place to go to get started on a workout program without competing with or being intimidated by younger adults.  The workout is efficient and very effective.  Club 50 Fitness is the next logical step after completing physical rehab for continued health improvement and also has the perfect  workout to supplement your current exercise regimen; it's great for cross-training.

Club 50 Fitness believes in the total package of fitness and nutrition and aims to promote a healthy lifestyle change in its members.  It is difficult to get started.  But none of us are getting any younger and exercise and fitness are the only things that are proven to slow aging and to boost the immune system.  Nothing else really works.  We invite you to come and workout with us.  You'll see exercise can be challenging and yet fun!
