Club 50 Fitness Franchisee Sites :: Content Management Manual

The Club 50 Content Management System allows franchisees to maintain a small independent web site within the Club 50 Fitness website. Franchisees can present online their fitness center and give visitors detailed information about working hours, exact location, news and events, pictures and more!

Login

Go to http://www.club50fitness.com/locations/admin/index.php.
Input you username and password and login (username and password were provided to you at the time of you registration). Your username is your Club 50 ID.

After you have logged in, you will see the Content Management home page (the Edit Profile page):

In the top left of the page you can see your fitness details, a link to you Club 50 site. Your Club 50 site adress always is www.club50fitness.com/YourClub50ID.

The left column gives you access to all pages you can manage.

Edit Profile

Here you can edit all details about your fitness location.

Note: It is highly recommended to change your default password. It is also recommended to use complicated alphanumerical passwords, and not your first name for example.

MapQuest.com link - visit http://www.mapquest.com. Enter your location's address and search.

When you have found the exact location of you fitness center, click on "Link to this Map":

On the next page, select and then copy the "Link in an email" (although it says "email" this is the one you need, and not the "Link in a Web Page"):

Paste the link in the MapQuest.com link field on the Edit Profile page and update. You can preview the results using the MapQuest.com link on the left.

Home Page

On this page you can edit the contents of you site's home page:

Every page is populated with default content.

You can style your page as if you were working with a word processor such as Microfost Word®.
You can also upload images and files, copy/paste from Word ®, ect.

Edit this page the same way as the Home Page.

Photo Gallery

Manage pictures for your gallery. These pictures appear on your Gallery page as thumbnails, and as a large image and description in a popup window.

Manage the news section of your site. News are ordered by date.

You can edit the news using the rich text editor. You can, for example, add an image.

Files

You can upload files for you visitors do download. You can upload MS Office documents (Word, Ecxel, PowerPoint), PDFs, ZIPs, ect.

You can add files to each of the sections but the Photo Gallery.

Follow these steps:

  1. First, you need to make a new link. Type some text in the textarea, select it and click on the Insert/Edit Link button (see screenshot below).

  2. A pop-up window will open. Here you can either enter a link to another webpage, or choose a file from the server. To do that, please press Browse Server.

  3. Another window opens. First, select Resource Type from up left. You will see a list of all files in the center frame. If you do this for the first time and have not uploaded any files yet, you will just see a blank page.

    To upload a file, first click the Browse button in the bottom frame, choose the desired file from your hard drive, and press Upload.
    Wait for the file to upload.

    You will now see your file listed in the center frame.

    Select the file simply by clicking it.

  4. You will be brought back to the smaller pop-up window.

    As you will notice, the URL field is already filled in.

    Just press OK and you are done!

    Note: If you want the file to open in a new window, you can do so by clicking the Target tab at the top, and then set the Target drop-down list to "New Window(_blank)". Press OK when you are done.
